| Wow! So it has been a super long time since I have updated here, and I probably wouldn't be updating now except that I wanted to keep my username and it seems that Xanga was thinking about cleaning up after people who are not regular posters or something. Anyway, life is good. Tanner is the only one not at home now because he is in Mexico for another few days, and after he returns we should be back to normal (whatever that is). I am not really ready to begin planning for the upcoming school year, but I will do it anyway. I have been learning so much in my Bible study and pray that I will learn more and more. | | |
| Well, I have been urged to update. Our family is all back together again! Mr O arrived in AR a week ago today and the whole family is glad to have him back with us! It is an adjustment for everyone but one that is well worth the effort. Thanks to everyone for the prayers while he was away! About the new video -- no, I have not flipped out. This was just a song that Mr O and I liked when we were in college and I found the video, so I am putting it up for a while. | | |
| So we think we may have a definite date for rejoicing!!! There still might be a chance that things won't work out in that timing, but it looks like they should and I can't wait to have my best friend back home again! So, school has started back again for the most part and all the activities begin in earnest this next week. I may meet myself coming and going for a while until we get the logistics worked out but it will be good to get back into a routine I think. I have been taking two classes this summer that have really made me dig deep in thinking about what my life is actually like for Christ. By the world's standards I look like I am in great shape, but by God's standards I have so far to go! It is a progressive process, never ending. It has been quite overwhelming in some ways but so good for me and so convicting. It has also been confusing because I war with my own thoughts versus God's thoughts on things because of my sinful nature. I want to have His thoughts ALL the time but that doesn't happen. I let life get in the way too much. God is good and provides for all our needs! | | |
| So this is the beginning of a change for many people that I care about and for their families as well. I pray that God will make all the transitions smooth and give each member of each family just the right amount of comfort and activity to make the time pass quickly until they see each other again.
More transition and change will be happening over the next few months. Some of it makes me incredibly happy!!!! Some of it makes me sad, too. Change is not always easy and some people handle it better than others. There are some people I love dearly that don't handle change well at all, so for them this change will be especially hard, but God is sooooo good and He will get everyone through ALL the changes. His plans are perfect and HE knows what they are even when OTHERS don't.
I can't believe it is time for school to start back. I think it is as hard on the teacher as it is on the kids (at least at our house it is). I want to have about two more months of NO teaching, no meetings and no extra-curricular activities that aren't relaxing. Good thing I am not in charge of the calendar, huh?
I miss my hubby so much and I can't wait to see him again!
| How would you like to get THIS for graduation?????

Well, that's NOT what she got! LOL That is my brother's new toy, not hers. Here is what she really got:

the laptop...not the guy (well, WE gave her the laptop anyway)
She was really excited! She has wanted her own laptop for years now. We actually kept it a secret! YAY!
One more picture for the road...this was after a graduation meal with our families.

This one is definitely here for a limited time only. LOL
